CERN, with co-funding from the European Commission, has long invested in Zenodo, a free repository for storing and sharing data, software and other research artefacts. Intended to be used beyond the high-energy physics community, Zenodo taps into CERN’s long-standing tradition and know-how in sharing and preserving scientific knowledge for the benefit of all. CERN openlab is a unique public-private partnership between CERN and leading ICT companies. Its mission is to accelerate the development of cutting-edge solutions to be used by the worldwide LHC community.

Discoverable. Uploads gets a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to make them easily and uniquely citeable. Zenodo was born at CERN with the EC’s OpenAIRE project to address this very need, i.e. to make the publishing, sharing and long-term stewardship of scientific data and software a reality for all researchers. Zenodo taps into CERN’s long standing tradition and know-how in sharing and preserving scientific knowledge for the benefit of all. Zenodo is an all-inclusive Open Science repository developed by CERN within the European Commission’s OpenAIRE project.
[1] [2] It allows researchers to deposit research papers, data sets, research software, reports, and any other research related digital artifacts. Zenodo is a multi-disciplinary open repository maintained by CERN. Datasets, documents and other research materials can be located via the Zenodo search engine. Scholars from any research discipline can upload data in any file format. A digital object identifier (DOI) is automatically assigned to all Zenodo files. The Zenodo service (“Zenodo”) is offered by CERN as part of its mission to make available the results of its work.
