The anti-skate is different, too, but I actaully prefer the 165s. Go to the Thorens Dept. website and read up on the different models. The TD-165 is a manual operated turntable. It's a good way to get into Thorens for not a lot of money. Myself and quite a few others here a 165 and enjoy it.
